South to Achaia

.... After Berea, Paul passed beyond Macedonia into Achaia, to Athens, and then to Corinth, where he quickly became partners with Aquila and Priscilla as tent makers. By his own hand he would support his needs and the needs of those who were with him (Acts 18:1-3). And here, too, a more welcome sort of news awaited him:

No word of the confrontation in Amphipolis had reached the city. So far, he was moving faster than the criticism; but on the other hand, word of the gospel had already reached them; for the Corinthians already heard how the Thessalonians had turned from idols to serve the living and true God, and they had gained a wonderful hope because of this (1 Thessalonians1:8-10).
